1) General purpose building wire for use primarily in conduit or other recognized raceways as specified in the National Electric Code (NEC)
2) Maximum operating temperature not to exceed 90°C in wet or dry locations

Applications: XHHW-2 cables are designed for the Oil industry and can be installed in Class 1, Division 2 Hazardous locations. They can be installed in trays, wire ways, ducts, conduit and aerially when properly supported by a messenger. They are approved for direct burial, and for wet or dry locations including outdoors in cable trays where a sunlight resistant rating is required.
